MOH – Ministry of Health

All Chinese Proprietary Medicines (CPM) i.e. products in the finished dosage forms (e.g. tablet, capsule, liquid) are regulated by the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) and must comply with a set of safety and quality criteria before they are allowed to be sold in Singapore. In addition, CPM dealers (importers, wholesale dealers and manufacturers) are also required to be licensed by HSA.

 HSA-  Health Sciences Authority

Good Distribution Practice (GDP) is a quality system which ensures that medicinal products are stored and handled consistently under appropriate conditions as required by the marketing authorization or product specification so that the quality of the products will be maintained during storage, transportation and distribution.

Importers and wholesale dealers of CPM are required to comply with the HSA’s GDP standard.
